Kanye West Will Soon Reveal "The Life Of Pablo" Tour Dates

It looks like Kanye West is already planning a tour in support of "The Life of Pablo." The unveiling of Kanye West's new album, The Life of Pablo -- which coincided with a Yeezy Season 3 fashion show -- at Madison Square Garden has been one of the most talked about hip-hop spectacles in recent memory. I had -- rather stupidly, in retrospect -- thought that, for the album's official debut, Kanye would perform each and every song off The Life of Pablo. Instead, he just hooked his laptop up to an AUX cord and let the album play out. And while it must've been thrilling to be among the first to hear The Life of Pablo in such a grand setting, Kanye is indeed in the process of gearing up a proper live show to go along with his seventh album. A source close to Kanye has alerted Entertainment Weekly that a "Life of Pablo" tour is currently being planned and that dates could be revealed as soon as next month. Kanye has one official performance already scheduled this summer, as he'll headline the Governors Ball Music Festival on June 5 in NYC, so perhaps his new tour will be situated around that time. He also recently announced his plans to drop another album this summer, so it looks like his schedule will be totally swamped, though that's nothing new for Pablo. These tix will likely be gone in minutes. Who's excited to see a live performance of Kanye's new album

Professional Boxers May Finally Be Able To Fight In Olympics

Can professional boxers put together a "Dream Team?" Boxing has been a staple of the Olympic Games for over a century, but over the past few decades the sport has been relegated to day-time status because of its low profile. While the overall decline of boxing as a spectator sport has been undeniable for some time, the Olympics have further hamstrung themselves by forcing Olympic hopefuls to retain “amateur” status. However, this year the Olympics may seem some more noteworthy competitors. The amateur requirement basically means that anyone who reaches a level where they’re talented enough to be paid to fight is barred from competing in the Olympics. This has allowed younger competitors to wet their feet in the fighting circuit on a big stage before going on to fight the best in the world. However, this has led to an inferior product for the Olympics, and Press Association, International Box Association (AIBA) president Ching-Kuo Wu has vowed to change that. “It is an IOC policy to have the best athletes in the Game, and of the international federations, AIBA is probably the only one without professional athletes in the Olympics,” explained Wu. Having the most talented boxers in the world is obviously a plus, but could lead to some unbalanced fights in the early rounds. However, the US Basketball team had the same policy until the Dream Team in 1992, and we all know what happened there. While an inexperienced fighter getting his bell rung by a world-class boxer like Floyd Mayweather may be scary to some, we’re sure the savages on this site would enjoy the hell out of it. Besides, anything that could drag Mayweather out of retirement for another go at Manny Pacquiao is a plus in our book. We’ll have to see what the AIBA and IOC decide to do first..

Young Thug Responds To Plies Calling Him A "Lower Tier" Artist

The beef between Plies and Young Thug is back on. A couple of days ago, the beef between Young Thug and The Game was reignited. Today, Thug is back to sparring with another rapper he had issues with last year: Plies. Strangely enough, both of Thug's current beefs involve his young daughter. Thug and Game got back into it by posting pictures of each other's daughters on their Instagram pages, and back in September, his beef with Plies started when the Florida rapper (unknowingly) posted a video clip of Thug's daughter using profanity to his Instagram. Yesterday, Plies was the one to incite Young Thug, when he appeared on Complex's web show "Well Rounded" and called Thugger a "lower tier artist." "I don't play with a certain tier of artists, like you trying to get poppin' and shit," said Plies when asked about the comments Thug made about him last month on Sway (that he might "slap the shit" out of him next time he sees him). "I don't fuck with lower tier artists," concluded the "Ritz Carlton" rapper. When asked why Plies considers Thug to be "lower tier," he referenced Thug's first-week sales, presumably those of his latest project, I'm Up: "Um, you sold, what? Shit, 10-14,000 records the first week. I don't know, you tell me what tier it is."

Chance The Rapper Gets Quizzed On Saran Wrap On NPR

Listen to Chance the Rapper's entertaining appearance on popular NPR quiz show "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" Last August, days before the release of Free Based Freestyles, Chance the Rapper joined popular NPR quiz show "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" for an outdoor taping at Chicago's Millennium Park. Chance was in rare form as he charmed the hosts and audience with his understated wit. When asked how he composes his raps, Chance replied, "That's a great question. I think there's a lot of premeditation, if you will, to making a rap, you know? You got to sit down, focus on your breathing, you know, you want to do a good workout, push-ups, maybe sit-ups, play cards, think about your taxes, think about all the people that you've met, you know, in this life and possibly a past life, if you believe in that. And then, you know, you take off your socks and shoes, put a pencil between your toes and you start writing. And you've got a masterpiece."

The First Photo Of Saint West Arrives Online

See the first-ever photo of the world's most famous baby. Just now, Kanye West's long-anticipated "All Day" music video made its way online. Today is also occasion for an even bigger online premiere from the West family, as Kim has shared the first photo of her and Kanye's second child, and first son: the three-month-old Saint West. Kim shared the photo of Saint, who is pictured asleep in a cozy Yeezy Season 3 baby shirt, through her app and website. She decided to post the picture in honor of her late father Robert Kardashian, who would've celebrated his 72nd birthday today. "I know there's nothing more in the world he would have wanted than to meet his grandchildren," Kim wrote to her fans. "So I wanted to share this pic of Saint with you all."

Nyck Caution Is Dropping A Project This Week

The Pro Era emcee shared the title and cover art. We knew Nyck Caution was going to have an enormous 2016 on January 15, when he dropped three fire tracks to celebrate his 22nd birthday. The 22 EP, as it is called, served as a prelude to Caution's first project since 2011's The Pursuit, Vol. 1. Sunday afternoon, he shared the project's title and cover art on Instagram. The project is called Disguise the Limit, and according to both Nyck Caution and his Pro Era bro Kirk Knight, it will drop sometime "FEBRUARY" -- aka, in the next week! Caution has already dropped one single (presumably) from the project, "Wordsmith." Check out the Disguise the Limit cover art below as well as HNHH's exclusive new interview with Caution and Joey Bada$$.

Kanye West Considering Legal Action Against The Pirate Bay

Upset with the level of illegal downloads, Kanye West's camp considers legal action. Kanye West’s buzzing new album The Life of Pablo is only available on the streaming service Tidal, which has driven many people to illegally download the album rather than sign up for the subscription-only streaming service. As a result, the album has gone Gold in illegal downloads solely from popular torrent site the Pirate Bay. It netted more than 500,000 downloads in less than a week, which is potentially an internet record. Despite previously being flippant towards people to illegally listen to his music, Kanye West is reportedly not pleased with the current situation. He’s considering a lawsuit against the Pirate Bay, and that’s understandable given how much money in streams and album sales 500,000 downloads would equate to. TorrentFreak reached out to the Pirate Bay for comment. Their response was not exactly fearful. “Kanye West is a blithering twat who has an incredible sense of self importance,” Pirate Bay staff member Spud17 wrote, before adding, “Our legal team will be waiting.” The Pirate Bay are no strangers to legal action, as their site been kicked out of numerous countries for it’s illegal activity. Next to governments, a Yeezy lawsuit isn’t much to sniff at. While it sucks that Kanye has lost out on so much money, he’s partially to blame for the situation after altering his album distribution plans right as the album released. He refused to add the album to any Apple music services, leaving few ways for people to obtain the record.

50 Cent Called Back To Bankruptcy Court Because Of Instagram Posts

You live by the memes, you die by the memes. 50 Cent, who infamously declared bankruptcy in a potential bid to avoid paying damages to Rick Ross’ baby mother for a stolen sex tape (among other debts), may be in additional legal trouble. Bringing all the recent stories about 50 Cent’s Instagram memes full circle, a judge is bringing him back to court because of a few Instagram posts he made over the last few months. Judge Ann Nevins expressed concern that 50 Cent was not being fully transparent about his funds, and pointed to Instagram posts by the Queens rapper showing stacks upon stacks of cash. “There’s a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process.” Basically, Fifty might be taking advantage of what can be a very difficult process for people who are actually broke and in debt. Naturally, the person who brought these photos to the attention of the judge is Lastonia Leviston, the winner of $7 million in damages from 50 Cent for a stolen sex tape. Curtis Jackson’s bankruptcy filing has prevented her from seeing any of that money thus far. 50 Cent’s lawyers have defended their client’s posts by arguing they are all a part of his profession in the entertainment industry, and the stacks of money are only for image-related purposes. We’ll have to wait until 50 Cent’s new hearing to find out how this all shakes out. The date for that bankruptcy hearing hasn’t been set.

Tyga Reportedly Being Evicted By Another Landlord

According to reports, Tyga may be evicted from another house in L.A. It looks like Tyga isn’t a big fan of paying for a roof over his head. Last year, it was reported that the former YMCMB rapper was kicked out of his Calabasas home for unpaid rent, which he says is completely false, but now more reports are saying the same thing about his other home in the Hollywood Hills. According to documents obtained by Page Six, Tyga’s current landlord has filed papers listing Michael Ray Stevenson, Tyga’s government name, as the defendant who he’s trying to evict. Apparently Tyga hasn’t paid rent for the three months while living at the $4.8 million Hollywood Hills home, which is $17,000 per month equaling a grand total of $51,000 he owes his landlord. Tyga has yet to make any sort of comment about this latest eviction story, but we can bet it’s coming

The Game & Lloyd Banks Reunite In Dubai

It looks like The Game & Lloyd Banks are on talking terms. It’s been years since The Game has been amicable with his former crew, but it appears it’s not everyone from G-Unit crew that he's had a problem with. While out in Dubai this week, the Los Angeles Confidential ran by his former G-Unit homie Lloyd Banks and ended up taking a picture with him, which he just posted on Instagram. The caption simpy read “Still,” which should make any rap fan from the 00’s very happy to see.

Diddy & LL Cool J Uncover Their Ancestry On "Finding Your Roots"

Puff Daddy & LL appear on "Finding Your Roots," a PBS documentary by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Diddy and LL Cool J appear on the new episode of "Finding Your Roots," a PBS documentary by the scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr., to learn more about their ancestry. Diddy's fourth great-grandparents, who lived in Maryland, were free, unlike the majority of blacks in the early 19th century. “It makes me feel kind of conflicted that my family was free and there was so many other families that weren’t…I can’t imagine what it must have felt like for him being locked up and to be innocent,” he said. LL Cool J met with relatives to watch video of his great-uncle boxing. On a past episode of "Finding Your Roots," Nas learned that his great-great-great-grandmother Pocahontas was sold for $830. If you're into this sort of history, definitely check out "Finding Your Roots, which airs on PBS on Tuesdays at 8/7c.

Kanye West Reacts To Kylie Jenner Signing With PUMA

Kanye West reacts to Kylie Jenner's unexpected partnership with PUMA. Kanye West has made no effort to cover up his hatred toward Nike, the company he left in favor of adidas, but many were surprised when we called out another major clothing brand, PUMA, for trying to "divide the family" with its efforts to court a deal with Kylie Jenner. He went as far as to say, "1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That's on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!" Well, it now seems as though Yeezy was misguided in his calculations, as PUMA has officially confirmed its partnership with the youngest Jenner sister. "I am pleased and excited to be able to confirm that PUMA is indeed working with Kylie Jenner," said Adam Petrick, PUMA's Global Director of Brand and Marketing, in an official statement, reports Complex. "Kylie will be featured in the brand's Spring/Summer women's training campaign launching in April 2016," continued Petrick. "Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion, and we couldn't think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for PUMA." Earlier today, a TMZ reporter caught up with Kanye at LAX, and by then, he was already aware of his ill-fated PUMA tweets. When asked if Kylie had gone behind his back to sneak a deal with PUMA, a rival of adidas, Kanye replied, "She had already signed, and I was mad for a bit." Thus, it seems the deal was already in place when Kanye had sent out the tweets claiming Kylie for team Yeezy, and it's probably wasn't a pretty sight when Kanye found out about the deal. He's now over it, however, as he went on to tell the reporter, "I'm really happy for her though."

Nathan "Bodie" Barksdale, Inspiration For "The Wire," Dies At 54

Barksdale was the real-life inspiration for Avon Barksdale and Bodie Broadus. Nathan "Bodie" Barksdale, inspiration and namesake for two of the most popular characters on "The Wire," died Saturday at 54, the Baltimore Sun reports. Barksdale gained notoriety in the 1980s for leading a heroin distribution operation in Baltimore's Murphy Homes. After being shot 20 times and getting his right leg amputated at the knee, he spent time working on behalf of a anti-violence program called Safe Streets. In 2014, he pled guilty to participating in a heroin conspiracy and was incarcerated in a North Carolina federal medical prison. Though Barksdale's name provided the inspiration for two prominent "The Wire" characters -- West Baltimore kingpin Avon Barksdale and dealer Bodie Broadus -- he was not a direct model for them or any other character on the show. "There are some anecdotal connections between his story and a multitude of characters," said "The Wire" showrunner David Simon. "We mangled street and given names throughout 'The Wire' so that it was a general shout-out to the Westside players. But there is nothing that corresponds to a specific character."

Sage The Gemini Is Begging For Jordin Sparks' Forgiveness

Sage the Gemini left Sparks an extended Instagram message. Sage the Gemini has not been doing well since he and Jordin Sparksbroke up last week In a since-deleted Instagram post preserved by Bossip, he let Sparks know what she means to him and asked her to return to him. The screencap is in the image gallery, here's the message in full: "Can't sit here and act industry like this shit don't hurt me. You're the only girl I can call at 3 in the morning and you'll answer no problem. You the only girl that can wake up out of a dead sleep and get me some water because I was coughing in my sleep and the only girl that loves me the way you were supposed to. I miss you too much to watch you look so amazing at the Clyde Davis party and not be able to call you and express how much I appreciated the look because you won't answer nor text back the feeling is horrible. You see the picture? That's the picture of me lookin at niggas lookin at you and giving them the eyes like "wassup nigga" and you like it's okay babe and you makin me smile and feel just a little more secure about it. Lol it kinda reminds me of the picture of the little lady standing in front of the hulk and being the only one that can calm him down that's you ya know? But yea this shit is crazy I just want to tell you I'm still being a good boy just incase you come to your senses. Valentine's Day was supposed to be a special day I wanted to that to be our anniversary because it's your grandparents and maybe we could have double dated remember? Please call me back I just want like a hug and a kiss or something. Sincerely Dominic Wynn Woods." Sage just dropped a song called "I'll Keep Loving You," presumably directed at Sparks... dude's life is in shambles right now.

Rihanna Reportedly Had A "Meltdown" During Grammy Rehearsal

Either bronchitis or a tantrum caused Rihanna to bail on her Grammy performance. Kanye West isn't the only one having pre-performance meltdowns this week. According to TMZ, Rihanna bailed on her Grammy performance due to a meltdown during her rehearsal, and not due to bronchitis, as had been previously reported. Rihanna was reportedly "loudly expressing displeasure" during her Grammy rehearsal Monday afternoon and left shortly thereafter. Sources told TMZ that she sang well during the rehearsal. Her performance two days earlier at the Lionel Richie tribute was stunning. She did not offer an explanation on her Grammy absence in her Twitter apology to her fans.

Taylor Swift Fires Back At Kanye West During Her Acceptance Speech At The Grammy's

Taylor Swift took a little jab at Kanye West during her acceptance speech for "Album Of The Year." Well it looks like Taylor Swift definitely heard the lyrics on Kanye West’s new song “Famous,” where Ye spits “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous,” and she’s not happy about it either. During her acceptance speech at Monday night's Grammy's for “Album Of The Year” with 1989, Taylor decided to “speak to the women” but direct her words towards Kanye. Taylor says in her speech, “As the first woman to win album of the year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or you fame, But if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.” This clearly reignites the on-going beef between Kanye & Taylor, which we thought was over with after Kanye stated they talked on the phone for over an hour and said she even gave him her blessings to use the line. Well apparently she never did, and now the beef is back on.

Jay Rock Severely Injured In "Bad" Motocycle Accident

Jay Rock was reportedly involved in a bad motorcycle accident on Monday. While Kendrick Lamar was busy tearing the stage down at the 58th annual Grammy’s Monday night, his fellow TDE counterpart, Jay Rock, was unfortunately involved in a “bad accident” on his motorcycle. Taking to twitter Monday night, TDE president Top Dawg tweeted out, "Pray 4 @jayrock he had a bad accident on his motorcycle.. He's hurt pretty bad...” While no other information has been released at the moment, we’ll definitely keep you posted as more on this surfaces. Prayers up for Jay Rock.

Watch Drake & Reggie Miller's Ping Pong Battle

Drake's ping pong battle with Reggie Miller lives up to its expectations. Drake is currently seated courtside at the Air Canada Centre, in his hometown of Toronto, for the 2016 NBA All-Star Game. The game is the final event of All-Star weekend, but perhaps the marquee matchup already occurred earlier this afternoon, when Drake faced off against Reggie Miller in a game of "6-pong." Miller, a commentator of tonight's All-Star Game for TNT, challenged Drake to a game of ping pong at the beginning of the month, and Drake, who's been forthcoming about his skills with the paddle via social media, swiftly accepted. TNT ended up filming the matchup, and highlights were broadcast before tonight's game.

Did Mark Zuckerberg Give Kanye West $1 Billion?

Did "The Life of Pablo" inspire Mark Zuckerberg to donate a huge sum of money toward Kanye's future "ideas"? Last night, before taking the stage on Saturday Night Live, Kanye went on a Twitter rant during which he compared himself to Paul the Apostle and warned the world that "the journey" would begin in a few hours. That it did, as in the wee hours of the AM, the Internet was broken by Kanye's new album, The Life of Pablo. Also somewhere in the aforementioned rant, Kanye seemed to reveal that he had incurred a massive amount of personal debt -- to the tune of $53 million. Well, perhaps one of the world's richest individuals has come to bail him out. Earlier today, Kanye tweeted -- as if he were reading out a headline: "Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas." His next tweet is a continuation of the first: "...after realizing he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time."

Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz To Perform First Single Off "Collegrove" Next Week On Jimmy Fallon

It looks like Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz are set to introduce "Collegrove" to the world on Fallon next week. A couple months ago, 2 Chainz gave fans something to get excited about when he announced that he’s working on a joint project with Lil Wayne called Collegrove, which obviously is a combination of both the rappers' hometowns of College Park, Atlanta & Hollygrove, New Orleans. However, since the announcement was made nothing has really come to surface other than a preview of one song, but thankfully that’s all about to change next week. According to reports, Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz are schedule to take the stage on Jimmy Fallon next Monday night and introduce the world to their highly anticipated joint project. Sources say the two will perform the first single called “Rolls Royce Weather Everyday,” which saw a music video get recently shot in LA

SoundCloud Responds To Reports On The Company's Imminent Failure

SoundCloud responds to reports suggesting the streaming service is on its way to bankruptcy. Earlier this week, SoundCloud published a financial report that led many onlookers to posit that the company is headed toward imminent failure. The report showed that SoundCloud brought in far less than it spent ($17.35m to $44.19m) in 2014. During that time, the company also saw its administrative expenses increase by almost 68 percent. According to the Financial Times, the company that carried out the audit, KPMG, reasoned that SoundCloud's "material uncertainty" poises serious concerns for the company's long-term viability. Even in the short term, it seems as though SoundCloud will have to bank on significant outside investment in order to stay afloat. The report has led a few publications to put forth headlines about the imminent demise of the streaming service. Today, FACT Magazine published a piece titled "Five Reasons Why SoundCloud Might Doomed." As word of its potential collapse is quickly spreading across the web, SoundCloud has issued a statement addressing the financial concerns surrounding the company. There isn't too much to gain from the statement, aside from SoundCloud's insistence that business is just fine and that its streaming service gives users an unparalleled access to all types of music. Read below: SoundCloud filed its 2014 accounts with Companies House. Beyond the full-year financials for 2014, which reflect those of a company in a strong growth stage, they show that, in 2015, we secured $77m of incremental capital, some of which came from our existing investors, demonstrating their belief in the future of the company, and the rest of which is a flexible credit line from Tennenbaum Capital Partners, an attractive option for companies like SoundCloud, who have a solid credit rating and are on a clear path to global success. Since we began, we’ve been building a completely unique platform. SoundCloud users can discover more creators, at all stages of their careers, than anywhere else, and more music and audio: over 18 million creators are using the platform, sharing well over 110 million tracks, and reaching 175 million monthly active listeners. Additionally, comScore recently listed SoundCloud as being the 8th most popular app among millennials based on usage in the US. Over the past year, we’ve continued to bring partners from the music industry onto SoundCloud. We’ve signed deals with PRS and UMG/UMPG, to add to the nearly 200 deals we’ve already signed, including those with Warner Music, Merlin and NMPA, as well as MCNs and independent creators. We’re focusing on enabling creators to get paid for their creativity, and on building a financially sustainable platform that our community can enjoy for years to come.

Announced during the Yeezy 3 show at Madison Square Garden Thursday afternoon, Kanye revealed that Thugger would be taking to the stage with him to perform their new collab “Highlights,” off The Life Of Pablo. Music as well. So after you’re done watching the NBA dunk contest & 3-point shootout on TNT Saturday night, be sure to flip over to NBC and catch Yeezy & Thugger do their thing.
