Official Vizion Signs deal Freemantle Media

It’s been a journey for artist and ceo of Nashville TN label, Official Vizion. With its conception after O.N.A.’s collapse a coalition of artist from music city. Leader Z aka Zeus would later go on to create Official Vizion, entertainment label directly after. From humble beginnings the label would receive its fair share of light after the release of “Ordained”! The success of the mixtape would propel the label too new heights attracting the attention of Freemantle Media, a television production company . This deal is apparently one of many and worth a lot of money. The details of how much haven’t been specified. Stay tune to find out what other moves Z’s camp is making!

West Coast Staple Roscoe's House Of Chicken N Waffles Has Filed For Bankruptcy

This would be a major loss for anyone who appreciates good food. We swear we aren’t just on a chicken and waffles kick, despite just recently posting about a pair of chicken and waffles Nike SBs. Apparently one of the most well-known chicken and waffle restaurants in the world, Roscoe’s House of Chicken N Waffles, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. As reported by the Wall Street Journal,East Coast Foods Inc. — the parent company of the popular restaurant — filed the documents. They claim the company has less than $50,000 in assets, while owning between $10-$50 million in debt. Part of that debt comes from a $3.24 million payout the company owes to a former employee who won a lawsuit for discrimination and wrongful-termination in 2013. The west coast food staple has been around since 1975 and has seven locations in Southern California. The company was founded by Harlem native Herbert Hudson. Ideally, the bankruptcy filing will allow the company to restructure its debts rather than close outright. It would be a travesty if they closed.

Kanye West's "Famous" Is Now Available On Apple Music & Spotify

Stream Kanye West's single "Famous" to your heart's content. When The Life of Pablo released, Kanye West declared that the album would “never be for sale” on sites like Apple’s iTunes, instead forcing anyone who wants to listen to the album to sign up for Tidal. Kanye has remained true to that declaration, updating the existing album on Tidal with new versions of a few tracks, until today. Twitter account TeamKanyeDaily posted a tweet showing that the album’s new single “Famous,” is available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify. For reference, "Famous" is the track containing the controversial Taylor Swift line. Now, this makes sense for Def Jam, a label that has so far allowed its streaming revenue to be severely undercut while Kanye puts on for Tidal. The lead single will finally reach the ears of people who weren’t among the hundreds of thousands to download the album on The Pirate Bay, and Kanye gets to more or less keep his original declaration intact. We’ll have to wait and see if more songs get the single treatment and become widely available for streaming. What this means is that ‘Ye will definitely not be making any other changes to “Famous,” as he did for “Wolves” and other songs on the album. Stream "Famous" on Spotify and Apple Music now.

Young Thug, Kanye West, & Mystikal Reportedly Have A Song On The Way Called “Digits”

According to Thugger's camp, he, Kanye West, & Mystikal have a collab on the way called "Digits" hopefully off "Slime Season 3." As we near closer to this Friday’s Slime Season 3 release, new information about an upcoming collab has surfaced ahead of time. Young Thug’s go-to director, Be El Be, practically confirmed the news Monday night that Young Thug, Kanye West, and Mystikal reportedly have a new song on the way called “Digits.” However, it’s unknown if this collab will see life on Friday’s SS3 or on the upcoming studio album HiTunes. On Monday evening, an associate from Thugger’s camp tweeted out “Young Thug – Digits ft. Kanye West otw” and Be El Be then confirmed the collab by retweeting it with the addition of two words… “And Mystical.” Snippets of the record have surfaced on the ‘net over the last year, and the collab is reportedly being produced by London On Da Track. If all is true, this wouldn't be Thugger & Kanye's first time working together. The two are coming off their latest collab “Highlights” from Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo album, which earned them a performance on SNL last month.

Mo-G Accuses Drake Of Stealing His Style, Calls Him "Little Forest Hills Creature"

Another former Drake collaborator seems to have turned on him. Looks like there’s trouble brewing up North. Toronto rapper Mo-G has been laying into Drake and his manager Oliver El-Khatib on Instagram. He’s accusing Drake’s team of all manner of shady behavior, including offering him only $500 for writing credits and jacking swagger and dance moves. Mo-G has uploaded it all to Instagram as evidence, saying he “ain’t afraid to speak the truth in public.” Mo-G describes his experiences with OVO in the videos below, and also shares screenshots of some messages exchanged between him and Champagne Papi. In the messages, Drake is only asking for a vocal sample, but Mo-G says that their relationship went further, with Drake’s team asking him to help Drake write new flows and hooks, but only offering $500 in return. Mo-G calls Drake’s manager a “culture vulture,” among other things. Mo-G and his crew Halal Gang have gotten shout outs from Drake before, including on “Summer Sixteen.” One would think Drake might just let this slide into obscurity, but a few hours ago he posted an Instagram picture with lyrics from another OVO artist, simply stating, “the bright lights are supposed to inspire you not fry your brain.” Do y'all think Mo-G is making stuff up, or is he exposing the 6 God?

Wale Plans To Release Two Albums In 2016

Wale announces plans for two 2016 albums, shares details on MMG's "Self Made Vol. 4." Back in January, Wale announced a new album by the name of Shine, giving us the name only and no other details, and now we've got a slight update. In an interview with Complex at SXSW, the MMG rapper spoke on his upcoming fifth album and gave some additional hints about two more new projects. First off, Shine is apparently an acronym that stands for "Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy," and it's about 80% complete. Kehlani and Nez & Rio are involved, but there's no release date yet. In addition, Folarin said that he'll "for sure" have another solo album out in 2016, and will also executive produce MMG's upcoming group project Self Made Vol. 4.

Drake & Rihanna Surprise Fan With Cancer In Miami

The Make-A-Wish foundation sent Drake and Rihanna to visit a devoted young fan in Miami. Last week, as the "Anti" tour hit Miami, Rihannabrought out Drake to perform their smash hit "Work," currently the No. 1 song in the country. During their stop in Miami, the two megastars took the time to visit a young fan of theirs named Megan, who's currently undergoing cancer treatment. Megan certainly looks elated in her picture with both Drake and Rihanna, though the highlight of the visit, organized by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, was meeting the OVO rapper, for whom her obsession rivals any girl her age. "BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! I MET THE LOML," wrote Megan in the caption of a video post she put on her Instagram, one that has been reshared via a Drake fan account.

Rich Homie Quan Says Young Thug Is Still His Best Friend

Even though Thug dissed him at a recent show, Rich Homie Quan has still got love for his former Rich Gang partner. And he intends to prove it on an upcoming track. During a recent concert, before dropping "Lifestyle," still the biggest hit to his name, Young Thugshouted, "Hey, fuck Rich Homie!" -- Rich Homie being the other collaborator on the track, taken off their 2014 joint tape Tha Tour: Part 1, which they released as the duo Rich Gang. Since the dissolution of Rich Gang, Thug has seemed to disown his former partner, but Rich Homie Quan, on the other hand, has no interest in contributing to the bad blood, as evidenced in a new track he's planning to release, which he previewed last night on Instagram. The unreleased track seems to provide Quan's take on the highly scrutinized Rich Gang breakup. "I had to separate myself from Rich Gang," lip syncs Quan as the track plays in the background. "No disrespect to Birdman," he continues. With the next line, Quan confirms that "Thugga Thugga still my BEST FRIEND, BEST FRIEND, BEST FRIEND," perhaps a nod to Thug's big hit off Slime Season. Then again, maybe Quan will drop a "Best Friend" of his own.

Official Vizion Signs Awesome2 Deal

We’ve been hearing a lot of chatter from Official Vizion camp in the early 2016! With summer coming we’ve been hearing a lot of waves from rapper/ceo Z aka Zeus! Were now hearing that they’ve signed another deal 4 months in the making with Awesome 2. Pair of djs that have a large amount of credentials in the hip hop community! With artist like, P diddy, Busta Rhymes, Styles P, and other major names on their resume; this deal promises to be lucrative for Z’s camp.

Are Quavo & Rick Ross’ Ex-Fiance, Lira Galore, Dating?

According to rumors, Migos rapper Quavo & Rick Ross' ex, Lira Galore, are reportedly dating. Rumors have been swirling online today that Rick Ross’ ex-fiance, Lira Galore, has a new man in her life and it’s reportedly Migos rapper Quavo. According to TheShadeRoom, Quavo & Lira Galore were spotted together hanging out in the VIP of a club in North Carolina recently. While the video captured (below) doesn’t provide much proof of an exclusive relationship, reports are claiming the two are indeed an item. Galore, who just ended her engagement with MMG’s Rick Ross, had rumors circulating back in November that she had cheated on Rozay with another rapper, causing their first initial break up. She later denied those allegations, but it’s now looking like that may have been Quavo, if true.

Afeni Shakur's Husband Wants Part Of The Tupac Estate For Alimony

Afeni Shakur does not want her soon to be ex-husband to get any alimony from the Tupac Estate. Part of Tupac Shakur’s estate may end up as part of a divorce settlement, as Tupac Shakur’s mother Afeni Shakur is currently embroiled in a divorce with her husband Gust Davis. They have been married for 12 years but have been living apart for over a year. TMZ reported details of the suit, including exactly how much the family makes and what Davis wants in the divorce. The Tupac Estate currently brings in roughly $900,000 a year, but after expenses & taxes that number is more like $20,000. Davis wants half of that monthly total for the rest of his life, as well as possession of his Jaguar and a 50 acre North Carolina ranch that the two purchased when they were still on good terms. It’s up to a judge to decide how the assets will be divided, but Afeni has filed to block the alimony request. However, for some reason the couple didn’t sign a prenup before they got married, which is not good news for Afeni Shakur. Just goes to show, you don’t have to be female to be a gold digger.

Tory Lanez & Jacquees Have Squashed Their Beef

Tory Lanez and Jacquees met up at South By Southwest. South By Southwest can really do everything. In addition to providing dope performances for fans, it can also be a means for reconciliation. Back in late February, Tory Lanez and Jacquees fell into a brief Twitter beef that was started when Tory Lanez responded flippantly to a post from the new Cash Money signee. Lanez wasn’t having it when Jacquees declared that he was coming for every R&B artist not named Chris Brown, and Jacquees ended up calling the Toronto singer a “watermelon head ass,” among other things. Fast forward to SXSW, where the two linked up and appear to have squashed any ill will that may have stemmed from their spate on Twitter. Jacquees posted a photo of the two together at SXSW, and although he called Tory Lanez a watermelon head again, it appears to have been in good fun this time. The two are on to bigger things, as they should be, and hopefully we’ll hear a collaboration between the two talented artists soon.

Z Rejects Google Play Deal & Signs another deal

We had received word that the Official Vizion camp was making power moves by signing deals with companies like “Freemantle”, but now weve gotten word that rapper/ceo of Official Vizion has denied a deal with google play reported to be worth 500,000-2,000,000! Definitely a large sum of money compared to a normal income! We’re receiving word that Z turned down the deal because he felt that “Official Vizion” could make more money outside of the deal and it would be restricting for the labels growth! Stay tuned for more information on rapper Z aka Zeus!

Ty Dolla $ign Teases New Music On Instagram

The creative juices were flowing for Ty Dolla $ign while he was on tour. Ty Dolla $ign dropped his debut solo album Free TC in November of 2015, and has been collaborating with everyone from Wiz Khalifa to Kanye West since then. However, it sounds like he’s ready to get back to releasing new music despite being in the midst of a tour. A few hours ago he posted an energetic shot of himself to Instagram with the caption “Mood!!!!! I just did thirteen songs in 24 hrs . New Tape ALERT.” This is great news for Ty Dolla $ign fans, who have become used to a steady stream of mixtapes from the singer since House On The Hill in 2011. He hasn't released any solo music in 2016, which to be fair is still only a few months in.

Lyor Cohen Says "We're Gonna Bury 'Slime Season 3'"

In a video that can only be described as cryptic, 300 Entertainment label boss Lyon Cohen claims that “today in Austin, we’re going to bury Slime Season 3. We’re going to have a funeral procession right through South By Southwest.” So, is that good or bad Lyor? It sounds bad. Thugger fans have been clamoring for Slime Season 3 for a while now. It was supposed to drop last month, but instead fans got I’m Up. However, Young Thug confirmed that Slime Season 3 was its own project, and would still be releasing. Nothing more was said about it until Lyor Cohen’s strange video. Cohen is no stranger to blocking some of Thug’s releases. In a prior interview, Offset of Migosclaimed that the 300 Ent. honcho was the one who prevented Migos Thuggin from releasing on Christmas Day. We’ll be on the look out at SXSW for any sort of funeral procession and will report back if we hear more

Rihanna Speaks On "Rivalry" With Beyonce In Vogue Cover Story

Rihanna isn't buying into the media's narratives about her. Rihanna is at the top of her game, riding the success of ANTI and launching her own collection with Puma. Vogue tailed the mercurial singer for a cover story and got her perspective on a few different questions that have been following RiRi. For one, Rihanna says she tried to take a break from music after her previous album Unapologetic, but that break “lasted a week.” She was back in the studio before she knew it, working on what would become ANTI two years later. When Beyonce’s “Formation” released during the same week, many people took it as a way to steal Rihanna’s thunder, but RiRi doesn’t see it that way. “They just get so excited to feed on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.” She also has kind words for “Work” collaborator Drake, saying, “everything he does is so amazing.” She also recently brought Drake out at a show in Miami. But don’t start calling the two a couple any time soon, because she specifically address dating and complains that, “my schedule is so crazy right now. It’s definitely going to be a challenge when I do decide to pursue a relationship … but I have hope!” Rihanna is a woman of varied interests, and she speaks on different ventures she’s working on, including an agency for make-up artists and stylists. She likens her Fenty by Puma collection to “if the Addams Family was wearing gymwear.” It’s not just for women either. Just like much of the fashion world, her collection is unisex. “I always wanted to do what my brothers were doing,” Rihanna explains, “I always wanted to play the games they played and play rough and wear pants and go outside.”

Jay Z Quietly Pulls All 3 "Blueprint" Albums From Spotify

A power move by Sean Carter. After Tidal’s launch last year, Jay Z was quick to pull his seminal debut Reasonable Doubt from Spotify. It would make sense not to allow your competitor to have your music, even if it might eat into streaming royalties. Jay Z has enough money to cover those short-term losses though. For a long time, it looked like Reasonable Doubt would be the only exclusive on Tidal. However, as of last week Jay Z pulled the entire Blueprint series from Spotify as well. While a few singles from The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2, and The Blueprint 3 are still available via compilation albums they appear on, Spotify users can no longer access classic tracks like “Renegade,” “Song Cry” or “On To The Next One.” It’s unclear what took Jay Z so long to pull these albums, but now everyone has just a little bit more incentive to make the switch to Tidal.

Stream Joell Ortiz’s New Album “That’s Hip Hop”

Joell Ortiz gets features from Kool G Rap, Billy Danze of MOP and more. Joell Ortiz is fully a student of New York hip hop, and he wears those influences on his sleeve in his new album That’s Hip Hop. That means dope lyricism that never slows down throughout the album and some OG features in the likes of Billy Danze and Kool G Rap. Fans of turntablism will also be pleasantly surprised to find some work on the ones and twos throughout the album. The beats are fairly old school as well, favoring more mid-tempo boom-bap sounds over trap’s quick snares and booming bass. The most fast-paced part of the album comes from the album’s lyrical buzzsaw of a single, “Kill at Will” featuring Token.

Foxy Brown Endorses Donald Trump

Foxy Brown is leaving the Democratic team for Donald Trump. It looks like Azealia Banks isn't the only female rapper who's endorsing Donald Trump. Brooklyn's own Foxy Brown is also joining team Donald. In a recent interview with New York Daily News, Brown endorsed the billionaire frontrunner and said she would be doing “a lot” for his campaign in the coming months. “I know so many people won’t agree with me and will try to change my mind, but I’m a smart girl,” said Foxy. “I’m excited…I haven’t been this excited in so long.” Brown, who ironically is a lifelong Democrat, said she loves Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, but is most impressed with Trump’s ability to get things done. “No matter how many people sabotage his campaign, it keeps growing and growing and growing,” she said. “I know people say he’s a racist, but that’s just crazy.”

T.I. Posts Angry Video Message For Donald Trump

T.I. has some strong words for Donald Trump. As Donald Trump continues to remain the frontrunner for the GOP nomination, big names from the hip-hop world have begun to proclaim their disapproval of his potential presidency. Just yesterday, John Legend called Trump a racist in a Twitter back and forth with the real estate tycoon's son (Donald Jr.), and a few days ago, Chris Brown went on a heated Instagram tirade (in written form) against Trump's allegedly racist policy stances. Rapper T.I. is the latest to voice his opposition to the controversial candidate, as he went on Instagram today to post a video message directly intended for Trump's own ears. "Donald Trump, this message is for you," began the Grand Hustle boss. "My name is Clifford "T.I.P." Harris. I say this as nonviolently but unapologetically as possible: Fuck you and fuck what you stand for! Nobody who supports me will support you. End of message."

Dizzy Wright Finally Speaks On The Collapse Of Funk Volume

Dizzy Wright speaks on Hopsin, Dame Ritter, and why certain fans helped bring about the demise of Funk Volume. At the beginning of the year, Funk Volume co-founder and rapper Hopsinvoiced his anger at the label's other co-founder, Dame Ritter. In the week that followed, Georgia emcee Jarren Benton announced his departure from Funk Volume in favor of Master P's No Limit Records, and Hopsin then announced that the label was "officially dead." Hopsin addressed his issues with Ritter in his latest track and video, "Ill Mind of Hopsin 8," and he went into further detail in an interview last week, calling his former partner the "new age Jerry Heller." Also during the interview, he announced a new label of his own called Undercover Prodigy. All this time, not a word about Funk Volume's ruin had been uttered by Vegas rapper Dizzy Wright. Today, Dizzy finally broke his silence on Ritter, Hopsin, and the label he had been signed to for over four years in a lengthy Facebook post. Hopsin had suggested he was interested in bringing his old Funk Volume labelmates to Undercover Prodigy, but in today's Facebook post, Dizzy confirmed he was staying in business with Ritter, who has continued to serve as his manager in the wake of Funk Volume's demise. He went on to voice his dismay at seeing Ritter's name being "dragged through the dirt" and explained how crucial his current manager was to Funk Volume's success.

Bryson Tiller Gets Key To City & His Own Holiday During Louisville Show

Louisville showed Bryson Tiller mad love last night on the final stop of his "Trapsoul" tour. Yesterday was a big day for Bryson Tiller. In fact, the Trapsoul singer owned the day -- literally -- as the Louisville Metro Government officially anointed March 12 as "Bryson Tiller Day." In addition to getting his own holiday, Tiller was also given the key to the city of Louisville. It all went down last night during the final U.S. show on Tiller's "Trapsoul" tour, which, of course, took place in his hometown.

Barack Obama Expresses His Love For J. Cole

The President reveals he's a big fan of J. Cole at SXSW. Obama's love for hip-hop is now well-established. The President cited Kendrick Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost" as his favorite song of 2015, and he even invited the Compton rapper to meet with him in the Oval Office. He also recently talked to Kanye West, apparently, as Ye revealed that Obama made him promise he would make beats for Nas' next album. Yesterday, Obama visited SXSW in Austin, Texas to deliver the festival's keynote address. After that speech, which focused on the challenges facing America's tech industry, Obama went on to speak at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee, which also featured a performance from J. Cole. Considering Cole's appearance at the event, it's not surprising Obama is a supporter of the Dreamville emcee, but it's still awesome to hear the world's most powerful man express his admiration for the Fayetteville rapper. "I love J. Cole," said Obama to an adoring crowd. "You know, this is the benefit of having teenage daughters. I actually keep up." Obama also said he was able to speak with Cole's mother and grandmother before the event. It seems the ultimate credit for the prez's hip-hop knowledge has to go to his daughters. Over a year ago, Malia was spotted donning a Pro Era T-shirt, so she's obviously familiar with huge stars like J. Cole. Whoever wins the next election, no candidate's family will be loved by the hip-hop world like the Obamas are.
